14. Behavior of bird / circumstances of observation (flying, feeding, resting; include and stress habits used in identification; relate events surrounding observation): mostly perched on branch of dead tree with frequent fly outs to catch/hunt. Came back to same spot or just a few feet away.

Description (include only what was actually seen, not what "should" have been seen; include if possible: total length/relative size compared to other familiar species, body bulk, shape, proportions, bill, eye, leg, and plumage characteristics. Stress features that separate it from similar species): This was my first Say’s Phoebe ever. So, I basically went with comparison to field guides. It had to salmon/pinkish color on its sides, and the face and head were lighter in color than an Eastern Phoebe.

17. Similar species (include how they were eliminated by your observation): Lighter coloring on face and head with less contrast on face than the E. Phoebe and its tail was black or very dark.
