13. Habitat: Large Live Oak Chineres

Seemed to respond to Screech Owl call, came flying in and landed in open area for about 2 minutes then went down into under-story.  15 minutes later it flew in again and landed in  open branches of tall tree.

Stress features that separate it from similar species):

See photo’s.  Reddish tail with brown-red back and wings, yellow under parts, head striped with a broad black line through eye and white stripes above and below this.

16. Voice: called a lot but my hearing is bad.  Robby said it was doing single note call.

None in US.

Seen several times locally and often in south Texas.
