A long, thin flycatcher, often perching at about a 45 degree angle on open perches. A typical Say’s Phoebe, ashy grayish-brown above and onto chest in a sort of broad hood, with peachy belly and undertail, and darker, blackish tail and flight feathers in wing. Slight pale edges on wing coverts make these coverts stand out somewhat.
