Resting amongst a mixed aggregation of waterfowl, observed with Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, Northern Shoveler, Green-winged Teal, Blue-winged Teal, and American Coot( most prevalent species)

Description:

Larger than Green-winged Teal, similar in size to Northern Shoveler, unmistakable dark cinnamon-red coloration overall with a slightly browner less cinnamon mantle, black on primaries and undertail coverts, dark bill, iris and legs not seen
