Number of individuals: 

Probably one. At one time we thought there might be a second bird of the nominate subspecies, but I suspect the light made it appear browner and duller.

Chenier with hackberrys.

Behavior of bird: 

Feeding and flying.

Description:

Red-eyed size vireo with a black whisker. Distinct gray crown with well-defined black lower border. White supercilium contrasts sharpely with lower black border of gray crown. Dark eyeline. Fairly large bill. Upper parts olive. White underparts contrasting sharpely with yellow undertail coverts.

The black whisker, which was seen well, is diagnostic.

Positive of the ID as to species. Seems to be subspecies barbatulus, but I'll trust others to make that judgment.
