Description:

A Yellow-rumped Warbler with a pale yellow throat. Had conspicuous yellow rump. Upperparts grayish with black streaks. Underparts were basically white with black streaks on the flanks. There was no pale area curling back under the auriculars as in Myrtle Warbler. More extensive black on the tip of the tail from below than Myrtle typically shows.

Voice:

The chip note was different from a typical Myrtle, but I would be hard pressed to describe how it differed.

Similar species:

It was clearly a Yellow-rumped, and the throat color makes it an Audubon's.
