One of 6 or more hummingbirds wintering in the yard.

Description:

Adult female just completing her winter molt. All primaries and rectrecies were complete and she was starting to put on fat for migration. Featers R1, R2, and R5 were plucked for exact measurement as they were for banding. R1 is not considered because the measuring technique is not described. The measurement can vary greatly depending on where along the feather it is measured. R5 is more equal in measurements all along the length of the feather.
